About Me

Hi I'm Annarose (or Rosie) and I'm an illustrator based in Cardiff, UK. I work in a combination of digital media, gouache, watercolour, ink and pencil, and love nothing more than finding new, exciting ways to combine them. My favourite subjects to illustrate are people, animals, plants, food, and lettering but I'm always keen to experiment.

I love to work in rich and pastel jewel hues, incorporating pattern, using painterly textures and expressive mark-making juxtaposed with sensitive line and tonal work. My work is inspired by my Gujarati heritage as well as pattern design, street art, fine art photography, avant-garde fashion and make-up, fiber art, folk art and costumes, nature, life sciences, and all things colourful and unusual.
